6 Days Cultural Visit and Primate Trek

Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by your driver guide who will transfer you to Nyungwe National Park. On your drive, you will have a beautiful view of the landscape and vegetation to the home of chimpanzees and other primates like the Red-tailed monkey, White and black Colobus, Vervet monkeys in Africa. Dinner and overnight at your choice of lodge.

Early in the morning after your breakfast we shall head out for the chimp trekking, you will be at the starting point at 5;00 am for briefing about the dos and don’ts during the trek, later on we shall then start off with the trek.

After the trek we shall have lunch break at the lodge and later continue for a cultural walk into the community, we shall see tea plantations and learn about the day to day life of an ordinary person in the community of Rwanda.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we shall head for volcanoe national park with a stopover at Lake Kivu. We shall visit the king’s palace in Nyanza and also the Murambi genocide memorial site. It’s from here that we shall have lunch and then proceed to Lake Kivu for dinner and overnight.

Early in the morning, we shall have our breakfast and go for a boat safari, we shall see different islands and also visit the fishing village, interact with the fishermen and have unforgettable views of Mount Nyirangongo. We shall come back for lunch and then continue with our safari to the volcano in Musanza.

Very early in the morning after your mini breakfast, you will be driven to the starting point of the gorilla trek where you will meet with your guide who will brief you about the dos and don’ts during the trek and then group you in groups of 8, you will then start on your trek which my take 1 to 6 hour depending on the pace of the slowest person in the group and also the location of the gorilla family and upon reaching you will be given 1hr with them then head back for lunch and a cultural experience at the Iby’Iwacu cultural village. Dinner and overnight at your choice of lodge

Early in the morning, after your breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing, and later start your golden monkey trek. These primates are not so hard to find, unlike the gorillas and chimpanzees. After the trek, we shall have lunch and then head back to Kigali.
