Early morning after breakfast, we shall drive to the southern part of Rwanda, where Nyungwe National Park is located. It’s approximately a 5 to 6-hour drive. On our way, we shall have several stopovers to take photos and see the spectacular landscape.
Proceeding to the park, we register for the canopy walkway in the late afternoon we do the canopy walk. Then, after we head to the hotel for the night.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we shall head to the park to be briefed about the Chimps trekking and lead to the Cyamudongo forest in the habitats of these chimps. This trek is a full-day activity that will require us to carry a lunch box, and later in the afternoon, go back to the hotel for the night.
The Ethnographic Museum, formerly the National Museum of Rwanda, is the national museum of Rwanda. It is located in Butare. It was built with the help of the Belgian government.
It first opened in 1989, and it is a good source of information on the cultural history of the country and the region. After breakfast, we shall check out of the hotel, visit the ethnographic museum, and then proceed to Kigali and overnight.
The Kigali Genocide Memorial commemorates the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The remains of over 250,000 people are interred there. There is a visitor centre for students and those wishing to understand the events leading up to the events of 1994.
In the morning, we shall have breakfast and visit the green Kigali city for 4 hours, including the Kigali genocide memorial site. And the local market, and later have lunch and wait for an evening flight.
