Accommodations in Akagera National Park are grouped into 3 categories, which include: Luxury( Ruzizi tented lodge), standard/mid-range(Akagera game lodge) and budget Dereva hotel, which is under budget /basic accommodation.
Ruzizi Tented Lodge is the only Luxury / upmarket accommodation in Akagera National Park. Accommodation is offered in nine (9) tents that are widely spaced, providing a tranquil stay for the affluent travellers on Safari in Rwanda. The maximum occupancy at Ruzizi is 20 guests.

Akagera Game Lodge is located inside the Akagera National Park and 500m from the Southern entrance of the park. The Lodge enjoys a panoramic position overlooking Lake Ihema, and it offers Midrange / standard accommodation in the park.
The Lodge has up to 60 beds, and the facilities at the lodge include a swimming pool, a tennis court and a conference centre. The beds are configured in standard rooms, deluxe rooms, family rooms, and junior suites.
Dereva Hotel is positioned in the Rwamagana district, 40 minutes’ drive to Akagera National Park and offers budget accommodation to the Rwanda Safari undertakers.
